- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs if using plain breadcrumbs ad 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
Shape the mixture into 1 to 1½-inch meatballs, keeping them uniform in size for even cooking.
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 2 to 3 minutes.
Lightly grease the air fryer basket. Place the meatballs in a single layer, leaving space between each one.
Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Check for doneness. Meatballs should be browned outside and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Remove and let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
- Use a cookie scoop to keep meatballs the same size for even cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the basket cook in batches for better browning.
- Add a light spray of oil before cooking for a slightly crisp exterior.
