Air Fryer Chickpeas
Air fryer chickpeas are a crunchy flavorful snack made with simple ingredients, perfect for casual snacking or adding texture to meals.
Course: Appetizer, Snack
Cuisine: Mediterranean
Servings: 3
- 1 can chickpeas 15-16 ounces, drained
- 1 teaspoon ranch seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly. Pat them completely dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture helps them crisp better.
Place the chickpeas in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with ranch seasoning. Toss until evenly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (199°C) for 3 minutes.
Add the chickpeas to the air fryer basket in a single layer for even cooking.
Air fry at 390°F (199°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket every 4 to 5 minutes to prevent burning and help all sides crisp evenly.
Check for doneness. The chickpeas should feel crisp on the outside and lightly golden.
Let them cool for a few minutes before serving. They will continue to crisp slightly as they cool.
- Dry the chickpeas thoroughly before seasoning to achieve the crispiest texture.
- For extra crunch, cook 1–2 additional minutes while watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Store leftovers uncovered until fully cooled, then keep in a loosely covered container to help maintain crispness.
