Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh edamame or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon olive or avocado oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • If using frozen edamame, rinse under cold water to thaw slightly and pat dry. Fresh edamame can be used directly.
  • Place the edamame in a bowl. Add olive or avocado oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss well to coat evenly.
  • Spread the edamame in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
  • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Check for doneness. The pods should be slightly blistered and warmed through. Cook an additional 1–2 minutes if needed.
  • Remove and serve warm.

Notes

  • Dry the edamame well before cooking to avoid soggy results.
  • Don’t overcrowd the basket this is key for getting that lightly roasted texture.
  • Add chili flakes or a squeeze of lemon after cooking for extra flavor
