Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • ¼ cup almonds whole or slivers
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats and almonds. Stir to distribute evenly.
  • In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the coconut oil if solid. Add the honey, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until fully combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture over the oats and almonds. Stir thoroughly until everything is evenly coated. Make sure no dry oats remain at the bottom of the bowl.
  • Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. Spread the granola mixture into an even, thin layer. Do not overcrowd—cook in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Open the basket and stir the granola thoroughly to prevent hot spots and over-browning.
  • Continue air frying for 3–5 more minutes, stirring once more halfway through, until lightly golden and fragrant. Watch closely during the last few minutes.
  • Remove the basket and let the granola cool completely without stirring. This allows it to crisp up and form clusters.

Notes

  • Granola crisps as it cools—do not judge texture while hot.
  • If your air fryer runs hot, reduce temperature to 300°F (150°C).
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
