Servings: 8
- 2 cups all-purpose flour plus more for kneading the dough
- 3 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter cut into slices
- ¾ cup buttermilk
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add butter and cut it into the flour using your fingers or a pastry cutter until crumbly.
Pour in buttermilk and mix gently until a soft dough forms.
Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly 4–5 times.
Pat the dough to about ¾–1 inch thickness, then cut into biscuits.
Preheat air fryer to 330°F (165°C) for 2 minutes.
Place biscuits in a lined or greased basket, leaving space between them.
Air fry at 330°F (165°C) for 8–10 minutes, until risen and golden.
Remove and serve warm.
- Keep the butter cold for better flaky texture.
- Do not overwork the dough—light handling keeps biscuits soft.
- If your air fryer runs hot, check at the 9-minute mark to avoid over-browning.
