Air Fryer Bagels Greek Yogurt Self Rising Flour Recipe

Air Fryer Bagels are one of my favorite non-traditional recipes when I want a warm breakfast recipe without the hassle. Made with greek yogurt and self rising flour, these 2 ingredients come together fast, with no yeast and barely any cleanup. I love how simple they feel while still delivering that classic bagel bite in less than 20 minutes.

The first time I made bagels in air fryer, I didn’t expect them to puff up so well or brown so evenly. Since then, I’ve kept them in regular rotation because they’re truly customizable bagels that fit busy mornings and lazy weekends just as easily.

How to Prepare Dough for Bagels

Step 1: Add the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt to a mixing bowl. Stir with a spoon until the mixture starts to come together.

Step 2: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Knead for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth and elastic. The dough should feel soft but not sticky. Lightly dust with flour if needed.

Step 3: Divide the dough into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a smooth ball.

Step 4: Use your finger to poke a hole through the center of each ball. Gently stretch the hole to form a bagel shape, keeping the thickness even all around.

Step 5 (Optional): Brush the tops with beaten egg for a glossy, golden finish. Sprinkle with your preferred bagel seasoning.

Making Bagels in Air Fryer

Step 1: Preheat the air fryer to 330°F (165°C) for 2 to 3 minutes. This helps the bagels rise evenly.

Step 2: Lightly grease the air fryer basket or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Step 3: Place the bagels into the basket in a single layer. Leave space between each bagel for proper air circulation.

Step 4: Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes at 350°F, until the bagels are puffed, firm to the touch, and evenly golden on top.

Step 5: Remove the bagels carefully and let them cool for a few minutes before slicing or serving.
